Because it sent only two grapplers to Saturday's Eastern Intercollegiate wrestling tournament at the University of Pennsylvania's Palestra, and was therefore penalized thirty points, five for each entrant less than a full team, the Crimson team finished last with a total of minus 26 points.

Walt Parsons, in the 145 pound class, was defeated by Josiah Henson of Navy in the second round, his first defeat in 27 matches in high school and College, but in his consolation match threw Eric Miller of Cornell in three minutes and 35 seconds with a body press, and in his second match decisioned Allen Crabtree of Penn State, 7 to 4.

Pete Fuller, 165 pounder, advanced as far as the semi finals. In his consolation match, he defeated Ross B. Frair of Cornell by a decision, 7 to 0. In his second place match, however, he was defeated by John Stockbridge of Lehigh, 7 to 5.

This was the matmen's last appearance, their official season closing last week in New Haven, where they lost to Yale.
