House Masters Hold Tea for Midshipmen

Following a tour of the sights of the University yesterday, 100 Midshipmen of the Navy Supply Corps School were invited to tea by the Masters of Leverett and Eliot Houses. The group which had ended its tour at Lowell House, split into two parts, one going to each of the Houses to which they were invited.

The teas were held at the Common Rooms of the Houses, with both John H. Finley, Master of Eliot, and Leigh Headley, Master of Leverett, and their wives, present to preside over the affairs. Also present were about ten students at each House.

Mingle With Students

At the teas, the Midshipmen were broken up into small groups, a few going with each of the students. The affairs lasted about an hour and a half, during which time the men were shown around the Houses, seeing the dining halls, libraries, students' rooms and Masters' lodgings.

The Midshipmen are all new, having been here only about three weeks, and expressed appreciation to get to know the places around the University and to have civilian company.
