Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Taking a weekend leave of absence from the Ivy League, an organization not too friendly toward Harvard of late, the Crimson basketball team entertains Boston University tomorrow night at 8:45 o'clock in the Indoor Athletic Building In a preliminary contest, the Jayvees representatives of both colleges square off at 6:30 o'clock.
For Coach Earl Brown's men, it will be an opportunity to return to a semblance of their pre-Christmas form, when they set the local basketball area aglow with five straight victories. Since returning from a disappointing Western trip over Christmas, however, the hoopsters have won once--and that victory came over Camp Edwards.
B. U. Lost Five Straight
And in BU the Crimson has a perfect stepping stone to what may be a brighter future. Until the Terriers stopped Northeastern on Wednesday night, they had lost five straight ball games, and have found the general going pretty tough this winter.
Brown will probably start his regular quintet, comprising Dean Hennessey and George Dillon at forwards, Captain George "Bunks" Burditt at center, with Mike Fansler and Hugh Hyde at the guards. Also slated to see action are Frank Bixler, Mike Keene, who will play without a cast on his left wrist for the first time this season, Al Reade, Mike DeLeo, Dick Forster, Mal Moley, and Don Richards.
Captain Joe Silver, who tallied 26 points against Northeastern, is the Terriers' big gun. He and George Gaudreault, recently shifted from center, pair off at the forwards, Gordon Botsford jumps center, and Freshman Wilbert Cingolani and Ernie Mitchell are the BU guards.
