Hanging on gamely to a fading lead, the Crimson Jayvee basketball squad scored a 43 to 38 victory over the Boys Club of Boston team in a preview to the Varsity game with Dartmouth last night.
The Jayvees hold a lead throughout the evening, having a 10 to 7 advantage at the end of the first quarter and one of 23 to 20 at the end of the half. Not satisfied with a three point margin, they went to town in the third stausa and strengthened their position so that the score read 37 to 27 at its conclusion.
The Boys Club outfit came back strong in the final period, closing the gap between the two teams to only three points. The Crimson, however, get held of the ball and was able to freeze it for the remainder of the game.
Dan Shield was the high scorer for the Jayvees, tallying 17 points, while Mike De Leo played a flue game on the defense. Daly dropped 14 markers through the hoop for the visitors.
