Crimson to Publish Journal For 4000 Army-Navy Men
Catering to the needs of a college at war, the CRIMSON will publish a free weekly paper exclusively by and for the 4000 service men stationed in the University's eight training schools, the paper announced yesterday.
The editors revealed that no name had as yet been given the newspaper, a new venture in college journalism, and offered a $25 war bond to the person who submits the best title for it. Only one will be chosen, and the final decision will be made by the editors of the CRIMSON.
The new paper will be distributed Friday mornings at no cost to the service men, and will include news of the several schools' activities and notices. Contributions are expected from members of the Army Air Force, Marines, WAVES, Army Chaplains, Navy Supply and Communications officers, Army Amphibian Engineers, and from the other service schools.
The 4,000 service men, rapidly growing in number, have been without a newspaper with the exception of the ill-fated Scuttlebutt
