Continuing their winning ways, the Lowell House sextet knocked a strong Dudley outfit out of the running for the House hockey title, while Winthrop's sturdy six kept pace by defeating Adams at the Boston Skating Club last night.
The evening's business got under way with a contest between Eliot and Leverett in which the latter triumphed by the score of 4 to 0. After suffering the ignominy of not having enough men to play a game last week, the Elephant pucksters last night were able to put six men on the ice, but they were not able to form a real team. The Leverett squad had no trouble at all in subjecting them.
In another game of not too much importance, Dunster rolled over lowly Kirkland by a 7 to 0 count.
Lowell's victory, by the margin of 5 to 1, maintained for them their held on first place. Winthrop's 5 to 3 defeat of the Gold Coasters kept them a point shy of the Bellboys. These two powerhouses battle it out to a finish next week. Lowell appears to have a slight edge, but the Puritans might well be the team to hand Lowell its first defeat.
