Upon receipt of the annual award of the New York Academy of Public Education, President Conant will deliver an address to that group Thursday night on "Science and Society in the Post War World."

The award, a medal given for outstanding services to education, was usually made to some prominent leader of New York teaching. Conant's the first out-of-state man in many years to be bestowed with the honor.

Following his speech Thursday night at 9 o'clock in the Walderf-Astoria, he has been asked to read the same paper later on before another group of American men of learning.

This organization is the American Philosophical Society, which plans to hold a meeting in Philadelphia sometime in the near future.
