HANFORD '41 WILL COACH VARSITY LACROSSE TEAM

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

George Hanford '41, former Freshman lacrosse mentor, will coach the Varsity forces this spring, Captain Tom Bridge announced yesterday.

Former All-New England goalie, Hanford will assume his duties in about three weeks, when indoor practice begins for the stickmen. His '45 squad had an above average season, but lost to Yale 8 to 6.

While in College, the new coach served as goalia for both the lacrosse and soccer teams. He is now taking courses at the Business School and is awaiting call to active service in the Navy.
