In an attempt to replace the gatherings formerly held at the old Union, the Phillips Brooks House Freshman Committee will sponsor a series of Friday evening open houses starting this week, Lawrence Creshkoff '46, chairman of the Committee announced yesterday.
Talking, singing, smoking, and a round robin bridge tournament will be featured at the event, with the accent on getting acquainted with fellow class members. Most of the activities will take place in the Peabody Room at P.B.H.
Especially intended for the new Freshman, the house will be open to all members of the Class of '46. The Committee decided upon the move in view of the much published "lack of integration" of the Freshman class. Feeling a definite need for a real chance to get together, they took over this plan as the easiest and most effective way to solve the problem.
