FIFTY MEN OUT TO PLAY BASKETBALL

Stahl, Hennessy Tell Plans Of Season to Present Team

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Almost 50 men, mostly in the V-12 unit, came out for the first basketball meeting Wednesday night to hear Coach Floyd Stahl and Captain Dean Hennessy explain plans for the 1943 1944 basketball season.

Practice will be held every night from 8:00 to 9:30 o'clock, and full physical credit will be given for basketball to civilians who pass their step tests and V-12ers who pass their Navy physical efficiency tests.

Several hockey players have come out for the squad, since a directive order from the faculty has ended hockey for this year; thus proving that it's an ill wind that doesn't blow anyone any good.

A complete schedule has not been drawn up as yet, but it is expected that a complete list of opponents will be released in the near future. Manager Nick Gellis and Coach Stahl ran a practice last night following the initial meeting.
