Commissions in the United States Naval Reserve will be presented to 33 graduating members of the Naval ROTC in University Hall's Faculty Room at 11 o'clock next Saturday morning, it was announced yesterday by the Quincy Street office of Captain George N. Barker, USN, Professor of Naval Science and Tactics.
Having completed under the accelerated schedule what was formerly four years' naval training, those men will be qualified for deck duty as junior line officers, and are also to receive College degrees in the coming graduation exercises.
Present at the exercises Saturday will be Deans Hanford and Buck, who will address the group prior to the presentation of the commissions by Rear Admiral R. A. Theobald, Commandant of the First Naval District.
All relatives and friends of the graduating class have been invited to attend the commissioning by the staff. Plans for the graduation of other men whose college work is terminated have not yet been announced.
