Hoopsters Net 45-37 Win Over Edwards

Burditt Rings Up 17; Fansler Plays Well

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard's basketball team didn't show any great improvement over their playing in the west, but they had little trouble in winning a 45-37 decision from the less formidable opposition furnished out at Camp Edwards last night by the service five.

Safely protected by an eight point lead most of the time, the Crimson looked good in spots but loafed quite a bit. The only occasion on which the Edwards team threatened was in the last quarter when they drew up to within five points. But three quick baskets by Captain Bunks Burditt took care of matters in short order.

Burditt High Scorer Again

Bunks collected eight field goals and one foul shot to win scoring honors again with 17. Mike Fansler, playing at guard last night, turned in one of his best games of the season, making nine points.

Starting forward for the first time so far, Sophomore Dean Hennessey contributed an excellent performance with five markers. Hugh Hyde, however, was missing badly, and scored only one field goal during the evening.
