Cashing in on what would appear to be their last opportunity to get a reasonably complete Freshman class together, the Freshman Class Committee, headed by Joseph L. Ray, last night announced details of plans for the Freshman Dance on January 15.
At the same time Memorial Hall was confirmed as the locale of the affair, and 8 o'clock was set for festivities to begin. Closeness of the dance date to the mid-year exam period has made it imperative to have it entirely informal, the committee's statement said, but Artie Ross will bring his band to provide music until 1 o'clock as previously announced. The same band provided the music for the Freshman informal in Lowell House during the summer term.
With a regular Freshman Jubilee impossible under the College's accelerated program, the Committee has been trying to make what it can of this final assembly, but gala preparations have been hampered somewhat by the unavoidable restrictions because of war conditions.
