Hanford Planning E.R.C. Departure

The dilemma facing men who have until the middle of February to evaporate into the ERC but will not be able to get home between the end of the term and induction time will be solved by the end of the week, Dean Hanford announced last night. Some place will be found for them to stay when forced to leave their rooms on February 1 in the face of a Yardling migration.

Canvassing House Masters today, Dean Hanford expects to announce on Friday some plan for the men, who will live in a college building, and pay only pro rata room and board. While here they will have to abide by regular College discipline.

As an aid to any men who are forced to leave College suddenly, janitors will take care of sending home, collect, trunks or packages left by the students, provided they are well prepared and marked.

Re-emphasizing the importance of getting a leave of absence from the University, Dean Hanford again warned men to see their assistant deans and present proof of imminent induction.
