Dr. Eugene M. Laudis, Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia, has been named George Higginson Professor of Physiology at the Harvard Medical School, according to an announcement from University Hall released today.
Dr. Landis, who replaces Dr. Walton B. Cannon, retired, is a graduate of the University of Philadelphia, receiving his medical degree from there also in 1926. Since then he has been Assistant Professor of Medicine at his Alma Mater and Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia, where he has served since 1940.
As stated by the University report concerning Dr. Landis. "The chair which he will occupy beginning July 1, is one of the key professorships in the school."
