Professor Copeland to Read In Emerson Hall Tonight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Professor Charles Townsend Copeland will renew his annual custom of giving a reading exclusively for undergraduates tonight in Emerson D at 7:30 o'clock. "Copey" is expected to select bits of Klpling, Dickens, and the Bible as part of this year's reading.

Formerly Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, and now holding that chair in an emeritus capacity, "Copey" is one of the legendary triumvirate of "Kitty and Copey and Bliss." These three, the late Professor George Lyman Kittredge, Professor Copeland, and Professor Bliss Perry, were outstanding teachers of English in the administrations of the late President Lowell and President Eliot. All three have become an integral part of the Harvard tradition.
