Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Straight from Smith, Radcliffe's 75 WAVES arrive next Monday, not wearing. Northamptonish pants but with enough authority to drag a salute from amazed Harvard ROTC men. The ladies in blue Mainbochers have been commissioned after a course similar to the indoctrination going on in the Yard and are here for Supply Corps training.
Since the CRIMSON first stated last October that WAVES would join their brothers in arms in Cambridge, few details on their stay have been released outside of the date of arrival, January 18. Swarming into Cambridge on the first day of Harvard exams, the sailorettes will be welcomed mainly by newspaper photographers when they get to Briggs Hall, where they will be barracked.
This is only the first installment, for a second squad of 75 is expected on the 'Cliffe later in the spring. The course will turn the young ladies out for duty in dispensing and storekeeping, and instruction will therefore be by Supply Corps officers.
