8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Six hundred more Naval officers may be quartered at Harvard, according to this morning's NTS "Scuttlebutt". Commander C. A. Macgowan, officer in charge of the Naval Training School here, is completing arrangements for the transfer of the men from the Communications School at Cornell.
Plans for the transfer have been discussed for a week at Ithaca, and if they materialize Harvard's NTS will be the largest in the country, with an enrollment of over 1300 student officers. Commander Macgowan is leaving for Washington today and expects to be back in Cambridge by Friday with complete details settled.
