Chicago Round-Table To Include Friedrich

Already familiar to College and short-wave audiences for his lectures on propaganda and current affairs, Carl J. Friedrich, professor of Government, will speak to the nation Sunday afternoon over a countrywide radio hook-up.

He will take part in the current Chicago Round-Table series, discussing the subject "The Four Freedoms". Among those who will be with him on the program is Mortimer Adler, professor of Philosophy at the University of Chicago.

Eight Million Listen

Renowned as the most popular forum on the air at the present time, the Round-Table attracts eight million listeners every week. It is broadcast at 2:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, over the National Broadcasting System.

Although he is leaving for Chicago early to prepare himself for the program, Professor Friedrich is probably one of the foremost experts in the country in his field. Besides teaching Government 25, one of the two courses given in the College on propaganda, he is in charge of the Radio Committee of American Defense-Harvard Group, and cooperated with the Nieman Fellows in their work on the subject.

He is also scheduled to speak over WRUL in the near future, taking part in its series on "Weapons for Victory".
