Rain on Thursday and Friday of last week held up the House athletic schedule arranged by director of the program Adolph Samborski '36, and the postponed contests will be played off this week.
Samborski has been trying to finish up the volley-ball and Freshman softball round-robins in order to get two touch football leagues, one for Freshmen and one for upperclassmen, started some-time this week. He still hopes to have the volleyball and '46 softball schedules finished this week and expects the football leagues to begin on Thursday or Friday, providing the weather man is agreeable.
The volleyball league had double-headers almost every day last week and the Kirkland Deacons, by winning both ends of one of these double-headers, took the lead with a record of five wins and one defeat.
