Network Begins First Freshman Competition

Freshmen will get their first chance to talk into microphones and to twirl dials on technical radio apparatus when the Crimson Network opens its doors at 31 Holyoke Street and starts its last try-out period of the summer at 7:15 o'clock this evening.

The competition, which is open also to upperclassmen, has been planned in such a way as to give all men the chance to o actual work on the air as soon as possible. "Individual interests," Network officers said, "will be satisfied."

Positions are open for announcers, technical men (with or without experience), dramatic script writers, arrangers of classical and swing programs, interviewers, and general program organizers. Every man will be taught whatever he cares to learn, particularly if his interests lie along the lines of the sort of technical work which will be of use in Army signal corps.
