In one of the most exciting House baseball games of the season, the Dudley Ramblers defeated the Lowell team yesterday by the score of 2 to 1 in an extra inning pitching duel between Shelly Sachs of Lowell, who yielded only one hit, and Bill McAuliffe of Dudley, who held Lowell to two hits.

McAuliffe won his own game in grand style when, in the ninth inning, he hit a double to break up Sachs no-hitter, stole third, and then stole home. This loss puts Lowell out of its three-way tie for the league lead with Adams and Leverett.

In the other ball game this week, cellar-dwellers Dunster and Eliot decided the occupant of last place Monday when Dunster won its first game 5 to 1 and Eliot lost its fourth straight.
