DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
With the expressed appreciation of Secretary of War Stimson to herald the change, the American Red Cross-Harvard University Hospital has been taken over by the United States Army. The Hospital, located in southern England, will be the central laboratory for United States armed forces in Great Britain.
The Hospital is directed by Dr. John E. Gordon, professor of preventative Medicine and Epidemiology of Harvard University. Dr. Alex J. Steigman is the physician in charge, and the laboratory work is directed by T. F. McNair Scott, formerly Research Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and a native of England. The staff consists of ten doctors, 62 nurses, six technicians and eight members of the administrative staff.
The Hospital was designed to satisfy the urgent need, expressed by the British medical authorities, for a study of war-time epidemics.
