Sullivan Shows Up While Mass Meeting Peters Out

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Though City Councilman Michael A. Sullivan responded to the informal suggestion of a group of students to speak at a mass meeting last night, when he turned up there were only a few men around, and the Winthrop House Committee had put a ban on the use of their Common Room.

As a result, he stood around and chatted with the numerous Boston reporters and photographers who had been sent out on the wild goose chase, and then left as the small gathering of students petered out.

Not appearing disturbed at the cancelled meeting, he declared that next time he comes it will have to be on an official written invitation.
