CAPACITY THRONG ATTENDS '46 PARTY

With a large audience of Freshmen, well representing the seven Houses and Dudley, the first of a series of dinners was held last night in the Lowell House Dining Room. Speakers included Elliot Perkins, lecturer in History, Dean Leighton, and Henry Lamar, coach of boxing. Movies of the 1941 Yale football game were shown afterward.

Seated at the Lowell House "high table" along with the speakers were the members of the new Freshman Inter-House Committee which will be in charge of the future dinners.

Perkins Praises Lowell

Speaking on the traditions and customs of "the oldest House at Harvard" Perkins revived the traditional slogans of Lowell-Eliot rivalry. Dean Leighton, making his first appearance informally before the class, urged this year's Freshmen to see and consult their advisors frequently.

After a hurried trip over from the 5:15 conditioning class, Lamar gave a play by play description of the Yale Game as the movies were shown in the Lowell House Common Room. Singing of College songs and cheering ended the evening.
