According to Thursday's Scuttlebutt, Naval Training School newspaper, student officers will pay Harvard $56 for room and board each month. Lieut. E. W. Sweetland, personnel officer, revealed that by an agreement with the University, each man will pay $20 monthly for his room and $9 a week for meals.
The student officers are to receive an allowance on their pay checks to cover their subsistence and rental and will pay board and room bills directly to Lehman Hall.
As printed in this morning's Scuttle-butt, all S-O's are scheduled to take a series of shots and vaccines before they leave in late August. Each man is to be given two tetanus shots, three typhoid injections, one yellow fever shot, and a small pox vaccination.
