A collection of books relating to the war have been placed on the shelves at the entrance to the Periodical Room on the second floor of Widener Library, consisting of training manuals for various parts of the service, books about the issues and origins of the present conflict, and material relating to civilian defense. America Defense, Harvard Group, and the College Library have brought the books together.

The books may be borrowed for outside use by having them checked at the Delivery Desk, as with other University owned books. On the walls of the adjacent corridor are maps relating to the war and the war areas.
