Continuing their drive to recruit volunteers for war work of all kinds, the War Service Committee announced last night that they would extend their activities to the Freshmen today, with a questionnaire to be distributed to all Yardlings in the Union at lunchtime.
Originally intended to uncover volunteers who wished to begin work immediately, the drive has been extended to include all those who expect to be able to serve this summer and next fall. Officials of the drive wished to emphasize that interested Yardlings should disregard any wording of the card to the contrary and register, even if unable to become active this season.
The questionnaires will be used as an official list from which the University expects to draw many of its volunteers. In addition to the questions on straight defense work, however, five queries on social service work have been included.
