Adam Yarmolinsky '43 was yesterday named chairman of the War Service Committee to replace Harry Newman '42. As head of the student group, Yarmolinsky will be in charge of the entire undergraduate effort to cooperate with the OCD and the military forces.
Besides his new office, Yarmolinsky holds the position of secretary of the Student Council and posts on the Council on Post War Problems and the Liberal Union. He is assistant editorial chairman of the CRIMSON and has been head of the Intellectual Division of the WSC until this time.
Beginning his duties immediately, Yarmolinsky plans an extensive summer program which he outlined last night. "The program of the War Service Committee will be continued through the summer session with special emphasis on educational work directed towards the large number of teachers who will be in Cambridge and who can carry the information they get here back to their own communities."
