(1) A student at the time of his enlistment in V-5 will indicate his choice for either V-5 or V-7. He may change his choice later if he desires.
(2) Students who thus indicate their desire for future V-5 status will thereby become eligible to take Civil Pilot Training during the Freshman or Sophomore year.
(3) Any student in V-1 who fails to remain in college through the first two calendar years, or who fails to pass the V-1 comprehensive examination with a sufficiently high grade, will be permitted to go to one of the Navy's flight training centers provided he can pass both the physical and mental examinations for prospective aviation officers.
