Rugby Team Defeats Boston Club to Win Championship

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the fourth straight year the Harvard Rugby Club won the Eastern Rugby League championship when they defeated a surprisingly strong Boston club Saturday, 14 to 0, while Princeton, the Crimson's closest rival for the crown, was being beaten by Yale.

On the basis of won and lost figures, the Crimson and Tiger teams were tied for the lead in the final standings, but the championship was awarded to Harvard on the basis of its previous victory over Yale, which downed Princeton on Saturday.

In the championship-clinching game the Crimson club, pressed all the way, had its scoring divided between Jim Warren, Bill Whiting, George Waters, and Bill Pugh.
