Bolles to Shift Men In Lower Two Boats

Following the half-length upset which the third Varsity heavies administered to the Jayvees in Saturday's time trial, Coach Tom Bolles promised a shakeup of his lower two boats before this weekend, when the Jayvees will face Navy, Penn, and Teach.

It has been almost a month now since Bolles last tampered with his crews, but yesterday's shifts were inconclusive, as Mike Marshall, number five on the Jayvees, was stranded in Boston and could not reach Newell in time.

Bolies Changes Men

In his place Bolles placed Junior Frank Sayder, who had previously been rowing seven on the thirds. This resulted in a greatly changed third boat, as Marshall, when he came, moved into the five slide sending Texas Jim Donald up to three, where room had been made for his by moving Winsor Sould down to Snyder's old seven position.

The Freshman 150's, who finished a close third to Princeton and Yale Saturday, are not up to standard this year, says Coach Bert Haines. From five to ten seconds off their predecessors time, the Yardlings have been unable to beat the third Varsity fifties this year, as the '44 and '43 boats did before them.
