CRIMSON GOLFERS BOW TO BULLDOGS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Had Pete Macgowan been hot instead of cold Saturday afternoon, the Crimson golf team might have pulled one of the biggest upsets of the link season by downing undefeated Yale. As it turned out, the Elin oked out a 5 to 4 triumph over Coach Don Poddie's forces in a driving rain at New Haven.

Macgowan fell 5 to 4 to Yale's Ed Gravely, and his partner Don Davis dropped a 2 and 1 decision.

At Andover on the same afternoon, the Freshman team, hotter than ever, racked up its sixth consecutive triumph with a convincing 9 to 0 whitewash over the Royal Blue.
