Revealing that a greater number of men have applied for Harvard this year than ever before in the history of the College, the office of the Committee on Admissions yesterday and that already 2100 to 2200 had filed applications for the summer and fall terms.
Although originally these men had been divided about half and half between the summer and fall sessions, more and more people are shifting, and now 60% intend to come in June. These applicants will receive the news of their admissions around May 20.
The usual essay type College Board Examination was abandoned this year in favor of the achievement tests given on April 11, and for those who could not take the April exams, another set will be repeated on September 9, so that men who have completed their pre-paratory school education by the end of the summer can start college this fall.
