With spring practice over for the year, Coach Dick Harlow still claims to be the only man in Boston who doesn't know Harvard's starting lineup for the fall grid season.
Yesterday's final session didn't help him out much. The players that everybody else in Boston considers the first team saw almost no action and a few of the scrubs turned in such good performances that they are sure to be in fighting for starting posts in teh fall.
Hadley Sparks Reds
Ed Hadley led the "Red" team in its 26 to 6 win over the Whites, scoring two touchdowns himself and setting up another. In addition to his ballcarrying exploits, he did a good job of calling plays.
Just a shade behind him among the running backs were Bob Hurley, Charley Cawley, and Don Richards, and George Waters showed the most promise among the blockers. In the line veteran Russ Stannard who played running guard for both teams, showed up the best. Roxie Lawson and Rick Woodruff paced the centers, while none of the ends was outstanding.
Despite the poor showing yesterday the flanks should be the Crimson strong points next fall with Captain Don Forte, Jack Morgan, and Buil Barnes battling it out for the two positions.
In the Saturday set-to Bill Wilson, Steve Gifford, Paul Perkins, and Jim Gallaher led the backs, with Stannard and Freshman Sid Smith the only linemen to stand above the pack.
