Ruggers Defeated 6-0 By Strong Tiger Team

Not even last Saturday's intense heat could stop Princeton's hustling rugby team at Soldiers Field as it edged out the Harvard ruggers 6 to 0 in the latter's second defeat in five years.

Most of the action took place in Tiger territory, as the Crimson team pressed Princeton throughout the game, but at the crucial moments the Nassau forwards broke through on scrums and effectively prevented the Crimson backs from joining in the offense. Tom Mountain, former Tiger grid star, and high scorer for the Harvard club never really got started as the opposition's forwards cooperated to keep him bottled up.

Princeton's Steve Aubrey led his team's attack, scoring once himself on a penalty kick early in the first half, and setting up the second score when he passed to Harry Clark at midfield late in the second half. Clark, taking Aubrey's accurate pass, scampered 50 yards for the score.
