Ornaments on Matthews Donated To Government

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For several months, the University has been eliminating all its academic frills, and it has recently taken off some of its architectural frills. All the iron ornaments along the peak of the roof on Matthews Hall, have been taken down, and will be given to the government for scrap.

They have been going over the roofs systematically for several years, taking off out-worn and useless decorations and the newly-sreamlined Matthews is but the latest victim.
