To facilitate free movement of the officers of the University during times of blackout or air raid. Official Identity Cards have been made available for them it was announced this week. These cards will give the bearer the right to move at will during a blackout.

Most of the police and air raid wardens on duty during such an emergency will not be acquainted with the officers of the University and will have orders to stop anyone abroad during a blackout who does not have positive and speedy means of identification.

Access to buildings in which vital defense research and work is being carried on is restricted, and those who do not have the Restricted Access Permit filled out on the back of their Identity Cards may find it difficult to enter even though their business is legitimate.
