LONDON--Marshall Semyon Timoshenko's Red Army of the Ukraine was reported unofficially tonight to have recaptured Novomoskovsk, which would represent a gain more than 50 miles.

The Soviet radio reported that "million" of fresh and fully equipped Red Army troops had gone into action on many Russian fronts, launching new offensives which were crushing German resistance despite the widespread use of reserves earmarked for the spring offensive.
