Culminating an eight week's competition which has lasted throughout meet of the season, William M. Gentry, Jr. '44, of Gering, Nebraska, and Adams House, yesterday was named Varsity Swimming Manager for next year.
At the same time James F. Whelap, Jr. '45 won the Freshman Managerial position after a somewhat shorter competition. He will take charge of '45 swimmers' meet with Yale next week.
Under the new ruling recently adopted as a result of the accelerated program. Gentry, who is a Sophomore, will manage next year's mormen, while the Junior formerly named will have to relinquish this poet. He will, however, receive his Varsity letter.
