Books for the U.S.O. from all New England are pouring into the basement of the New England Depositary Library beyond the Business School at the rate of 6,000 or 7,000 a day, according to the Boston secretary of the Victory Book Drive. Since the start of the campaign on January 12, the drive, which has its headquarters in the basement of the new library, has collected over 200,000 books for the armed forces.

The Harvard Liberal Union has been conducting a drive of its own which is to be taken over by Phillips Brooks House when it opens its semi-annual old clothes drive in the spring.
