5 Houses Donate $252 In United War Drive

Employees Surpass Goal by Contributing $5549 to Fund

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Fragmentary returns from the Houses for the United War Fund drive indicate that to date $252 has been received from the five Houses reporting. First Freshmen results bring the Yardling total to $300.

Employees have surpassed their mark of $4,800 set last year with contributions already reaching $5,549. At the same time Faculty returns have slowed up so that the total of the department had only advanced to $21,849 by last night. Chairman Perkins felt assured, however, that they would surpass their last-year total of $22,000.

No graduate schools' donations have as yet been recorded and the House showing shows the result of only a small portion of the canvassing. Detailed House statistics show that gifts from Adams totals $10, Dunster $80, Eliot $143. Kirkland $9, and Lowell $10. Additional contributions are expected today.
