TWO NEW GOV COURSES BEGIN

4 Half-Courses Omitted; Gov 29 Has New Lecturers

Changing its position to conform with the needs of the war efforts, the Government department is offering two new half courses beginning in this semester, dealing with Inter-American Relations and Public Personnel Administration, and omitting 30, 147, 10a, and 37, associate Professor Benjamin F. Wright announced in his Government 13 lecture yesterday.

Because of the departure to Washington of Instructor Lincoln Gordon. Government 29, Government Regulationof Industry, will be given by Professor Willian Yandell Elliott and Thomas Reed Powell, Story Professor of Law, an outstanding authority on and interpreter of constitutional law.

Government 11c is considered by the department to be especially important "because of the growing interest in and significance of the problem of hemisphere solidarity," while Government 42 is expected to help "the increasing need in government service of men trained in personnel relations."
