‘I Am Really Sorry’: Khurana Apologizes for International Student Winter Housing Denials
Seeking to repeat last week's victory over Yale, the Crimson track team will journey to Dartmouth today to face a powerful Indian aggregation.
Whether they will repeat their success is, nevertheless, still uncertain, for Jaakko Mikkola, coach of the Varsity track forces was believed when he said that Yale had a powerful team, and, virtually, that his men would take a bad beating. However, when Bob Houghton's men upset the Yales, 52-48, last Monday, it seemed to belie Jaakko's words.
Questioned Monday night concerning the coming meet, the genial Finn admitted that Dartmouth "is really a strong, well-balanced team, with strong runners. Our boys will have to improve plenty this coming week to beat such an outfit."
Earlier this winter, the team has beaten Army and Princeton in a triangular meet, as well as knocking off the Elis. Hopes for an undefeated season rest on Don MacKinnon and Ted Bauer in the hurdles, Tom Holyoke in the broad jump, Don McCaul, Fred Phinney, Tim Coggeshall in the two-mile, Johnny Bunker in the high jump, and the mile and two-mile relay teams.
Mike Ford, Dick Pfister, Bob Houghton, Bill Palson, Tom White and Philzeigler are all pretty sure to get firsts and seconds for the visitors.
