HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
"Are you a pin-sharp? Do you merkle? Or are you shill-shocked?" are some of the questions on the Senior Album Poll which was distributed yesterday. Coles H. Phinizy '42, ex-president of the Lampoon, who made up the questions, ought to know the answers if anyone does.
A "pin-sharp," he revealed, is one skilled in playing pin-ball machines; "to merkle" is to be jubilant at your own misfortune, and "shill-shocked" refers to one who is conscience-bound not to put slugs in a juke box.
Most of the questions of the poll however, are in a more serious vein, aimed at discovering the opinions of the graduating class on various phases of college life. The results will be tabulated on Monday.
