Yardling Fencers at Loomis; Gaeta Elected Squad Captain

At a meeting of the Freshman fencing team yesterday, Roland Gaeta of Matthews Hall and Worcester was elected captain for this season. Gaeta attended Worcester Academy and fenced there.

The Yardlings journey to Loomis today for their third meet of the season. So far they have won one and dropped one. The foils team fenced Exeter and lost 6 to 3 in the first meet of the year. Two weeks ago the entire team smothered Andover 21 to 6.

Ten men will make the trip with Coach Rene Peroy. In the foils division will be Captain Gaeta, Don Van Roosen, and Don Edwards. Martin Singer, John Duke, Curley Johnson, and Bob Miller will handle epee while Arthur du Bois, Carl Kulmam, and Harold Tobey will fence saber.
