Ski Team Close Fourth In Middlebury Contest

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With brilliant individual performances by Del Ames and Finn Ferner, the Crimson managed to pull into fourth, place after the first day of racing at the I. S. U. meet at Middlebury yesterday. Ferner took fourth in the slalom.

Del Ames, who last week was disqualified from the downhill races at Stowe, garnered a third place in the downhill race, and the next Crimson finisher was Bungy King, in 20th place. Yardling Duncan Reed crossed the line in 24th place, and Captain Finn Ferner followed him, placing 27th.

In the slalom, the schussers were only two-and-a-half points behind winning New Hampshire, with Dartmouth's squad barely nosing out the Crimson for second.
