Junior Leaves University In Protest Against Draft

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Thomas C. Hall '44 of New York City and Lowell House left College last week because of his convictions of the immorality of war and his refusal to register under the Selective Service Act. He obtained a leave of absence from the University and has returned to his home and obtained a job.

A scholarship and Group II student, Hall came to Harvard after studying for a time at the City College of New York. As a conscientious objector, he regarded registering as supporting the draft and war, to which he is morally opposed. His conviction is based on a belief in the power of religious faith over military force.
