Coach Rene Peroy's Varsity swordsmen broke Brown's undefeated record last Saturday evening, nosing out the home team 14 to 13. The Bears had won all three of their previous encounters, including a close 14 to 13 win over Yale.
Hero of the day was Sophomore George Wilbur who won six and a half of his eight matches. Fencing in all three weapons, Wilbur took all of his foil bouts, won two and tied one in epee, and broke even in two saber bouts.
Of the three divisions, Brown was able to take only the saber, while the Crimson won foils, five to four and epee six to three.
