Bangle King brought home the bacon for the ski team this weekend with a fourth in the downhill on the Nosedive and a 13th in the slalom to take a combined sixth place in the Eastern Amateur Ski Association's meet at Mount Mansfield, Vermont, this weekend.
Del Ames made ninth place in the slalom yesterday, but with Capt. Finn Former he was disqualified in the downhill and did not get into the final rating. Tom Winship combined a ninth on Saturday with a 24th in the slalom to cop 11th place in the meet.
Because he was not at the starting line in time to hear the official instructions, Ferner took a short cut on one of the upper, turns of the "Dive," missing some control flags, and bad luck again hounded him in the slalom yesterday when he passed by a series of flags. He was disqualified both times.
Kint, in the downhill, was clocked at 2:46, 18 seconds behind the winner MacLean, following Meservey and Nunemacher of Dartmouth.
